Mover School Prerequisite
Move like the pros! Here are some tips and tricks to help you get ready for the big move.
Packing Tips
Eqiupment Matters
Having the right equipment can make your move go faster, reduce damage, and more efficiently fill truck or storage space. Using proper cartons including double walled china barrels for your glassware, wardrobe cartons for your hanging items, and packing other household items in uniformly sized cartons whenever possible will save you money on move day. Make sure you tape both the top and bottom of all cartons.
Don't Pack the Coffee!
Or whatever other essential kitchen items you'll need the morning of your move. Leave out enough cups, plates, bowls, utensils, etc. to get through breakfast, then give everything a quick wash and dry when you're done. Set aside some space in a carton and leave it open in the kitchen to pack these items into.
AT the Last minute
Did you get the . . .
Be sure to check all closets, drawers, cupboards, and storage spaces for items that may have been left behind. Maybe you planned to go back and finish off a pantry later on and never got around to it. Check behind drawers for anything that may be caught in the back, and behind the stove drawer for lost muffin tins, too.
